It's Official!

No, I'm not getting married, or getting a dog, or moving out, or even officially in a relationship for that matter but all I can say is that it is official. I Timmerie Grace of Ontario Canada am going. Not to just any place in the world oh no my friends. But the places of all places, the city of all romances, the place where dreams come true and delicious French food is eaten. PARIS.

I know that I have blogged about this before but we all know that Paris doesn't deserve just one post. It deserves at LEAST 5. Currently, I stand at 2 but the other 3 are for my return. So you are probably wondering what makes it official. Well you see, yesterday was my birthday party and I had several of my friends over for some pizza and a movie. I got many lovely gifts and I am so thankful for all of my wonderful friends who were there to celebrate with me. But I got one gift that especially intrigued me. I got a tour book of PARIS! It is now officially my favorite book of ALL time. It is a guide to the top 10 everything in Paris! Places to go, eat, shop, walk, watch events, and tours of all proportions! There is even a street called Montaigne and it has ALL designer shops on it. Joseph, Christian Doir, Chanel, Prada, and Chloe!

I once again must admit that when I opened the gift I once again almost cried. (silly I KNOW but who cares people? I'm going to Paris!) Another large portion of the book that intrigued me was the portion on places to stay. It is divided into 2 sections, Hotel's and Luxury Hotels. To be honest, I didn't even look at the Hotels part because the descriptions of the Luxury ones were bringing tears to my eyes! And then I found it. The Hotel of all Hotels. The Ritz. A hotel complete with beautiful views, chocolate croissants, and silk curtains and bed spreads. I want to LIVE there.

Ritz <3

I have honestly never seen a more beautiful hotel and whether I stay in it on this trip or not is irrelevant because all I know is that ONE day I will stay there.

I then searched through my book and looked at all the shopping locations recommended and I searched Google maps and I was on the streets of Paris! (I mean not technically but still!) I saw the boutiques and the French people and all the little things that make Paris so wonderful. But why is it official you may ask? because my Grandpa and Grandma are in the process of booking the flight and purchasing the tickets HOW MUCH MORE OFFICIAL CAN IT GET?!

So after my excitement I realized that I not only have to remember to manage my expectations but also decide what I want to do there and what I REALLY want to buy. My Auntamine suggested a lot of things to me about the trip because she has been traveling for MUCH longer then I have and has been to places that I dream of going! Including Paris! <3 She said that I have to decided what I want to buy or I will get tooo carried away. Also deciding what I want to buy ahead of time narrows my focus so that when I do get to Paris I won't be sooo overwhelmed with all the stuff that I will go CRAZY because knowing me. . . I probably would! So, I put together a list of things to buy and it looks something like this:

1. A Beret. Simple because it seems as though ALL French people have them and to leave Paris without one would just be horrible! :O

2. 2 Scarves. Simply because I absolutely love scarves and I want to purchase one that NOBODY else that I know would have.

3. A Charm. I am in the process of purchasing the oh-so-famous Pandora Bracelets and my Mom said that they sell their charms almost all around the world so I want to get a charm for every places around the world I visit. Therefore, a Paris charm is ABSOLUTELY necessary.

4. 2 pairs of Earrings. Not just regular run of the mill earrings but beautiful Paris earrings! Not cheesy ones, but ones that would look beautiful paired with a dress and a pair of red heels.

5. 3 Shirts. I want nice flowing tops, ones that look great tucked into jeans or simply left out and worn with leggings and boots.

6. Jeans. Simply because Auntamine said that she bought a pair of jeans in Paris and that they were the best pair of jeans she has ever had.

7. 2 pairs of Shoes. Simply because people in Paris got style and I have high expectations for their shoes.

8. 2 Hair Accessories. Simply because I love adding girly pieces to all my outfits. . . especially hair pieces.

9. A Dress. I absolutely love summer dresses and I think that Paris will have an amazing selection of them.

10. A Purse. Simply because I adore purses. Nothing more. Over-the-shoulder ones are my favorite!

Weelll, there you have it folks, my list of things to purchase in Paris. Also, I plan to purchase gifts for my friends of course! I have several things I still have to buy for Paris but I will save those for another time!

I'm off to watch a movie with my little sista. Just a reminder that So You Think You Can Dance Finale is on tonight GO MELANIE! Have a wonderful day bloggers!

Your soon to be Paris tourist,
